First time director, Rorie Jones, is tackling a ghost from her romantic past in Missed Connections. A producer on two award-winning projects with Untitled Writing Co., Jones is ready to take the leap in sharing her vision with an audience of her own.

A true love story of humble stakes, Missed Connections takes aim at the feeling of falling too fast. On a routine eve, a bartender finds herself enamored with a patron angel.

The quiet little story speaks to the speed at which our eyes tell our heart to succumb, even before the vital task of learning someone’s name.

Set to be filmed at Matilda Midnight bar inside the Dwell Hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the dreamy look at a head-over-heels hopeful will be entering the short film circuit in late 2025 and early 2026.
